Sandy and Gail, together with two friends from the Netherlands, checked out the wildlife of Costa Rica. Their first destination was Tortuguero, the wettest area of the country on the Northern Caribbean coast. Then they drove to the active Arenal volcano, passing through the Monteverde cloud forest and continuing westward to Playa Tamarindo, on the Pacific Coast. They stopped at Rincon de Vieja, another volcanic area. They ended the trip in the luxury eco-lodge Lapa Rios, on the Osa Peninsula in the far Southwest of the country.
