Liberty House Child Advocacy Center celebrated its 25th anniversary in April, 2024 with a dream come true: the ceremonial opening of its new Woodburn location serving all of North Marion County. Liberty House CEO Alison Kelley explains how this is part of a long-planned vision to serve rural communities needing its essential services. She delves into the process of “Changing Hurt into Hope” for Marion and Polk County children and families, and what's behind the non-profit's tremendous growth in the last ten years. It is the only place providing assessment, treatment and prevention of child abuse, neglect, trauma and grief in a safe, comfortable, child-friendly environment.
