(2025-EP14) What do our pets need to thrive? We learn first-hand from Paisley, a pit bull mix awaiting adoption at Oregon Humane Society’s Salem campus just how much love and care goes into each adoptee awaiting their new home. Some, like Paisley, faced physical or behavioral challenges that can delay their adoption. OHS media specialist Laura Klink says a small army of in-shelter and foster volunteers are essential to making each adoptee ready for their new home, including Paisley. Adopters get a wealth of tips, resources and support pre- and post adoption. Oregon Humane Society offers year ‘round programs, like Diamonds in the Ruff and Children’s Summer Camp designed to equip current and future pet owners with all they need to ensure their pets are happy, healthy and thriving.
