Drawing for Animation, Film and Gaming Design - Character

Program Description

This episode breaks down into two parts, primitive object observation, then creating character designs from those basic shapes. The first part, Cubes, Ball and a cylinders in this lesson take us through Schema or shape and how to create a volumetric effect through tonal value. The second part starts by using five lines of action to place the three primitive shapes to create a character in an action pose. By repeating a system of repeating primitive objects the student is quickly grounded in understanding fundamental principles of shape, volume and tonal value that becomes an important muscle memory within the production pipeline of Film, Game design and Animation Studios. They need content with a representational art approach with a foundation in Classical Design principles that immediately communicates to an international market. These techniques are trade design skills taught at the Video Game Design Animation Course at CTEC, Salem, Oregon, USA https://ctec.salkeiz.k12.or.us/video-and-game-design-animation/ thankyou www.bensound.com
