Champ Search with Katy Elizabeth

Program Playtimes

Lake Champlain is a natural freshwater lake in North America. The lakes depth reaches 400 feet, and 120 miles in length. Lake Champlain is home to the oldest known fossil reef in the world, and some think that there may still be a living dinosaur in the lake. The locals call him Champ! Similar to the Loch Ness Monster, Champ has been sighted 300 times within the last century. For the past decade, Katy Elizabeth has been the founder of Champ Search a group whose goal is to study and investigate Lake Champlain in search of Champ. She has made some very significant discoveries. Using sophisticated equipment such as echolocation and sonar, Katy was able to record the sounds of these creatures. Champ may be fully capable of mimicking sounds of mammals. Elizabeth and her team will continue to travel across Lake Champlain for more evidence, and she is truly thankful she is living out her childhood dream.
