"Chris began writing stories to share with his daughter about people in their lives and the influence they served. They are very descriptive and entertaining. Chris is the former professor and director of the Willamette University Theater.
Although art work and writing for publications is a relatively new venture for Chris
Harris, he has spent a lifetime in design and creative work. Harris was Professor of Theatre and Resident Scene Designer at Willamette University, where he has been teaching until he retired in 2021. Prior to that he taught for seven years at the University of Illinois at Chicago. He has designed over 300 productions seen in London, Toronto, New York, Boston, St. Louis, Chicago, and Portland, OR.
He received a Bachelor of Education degree from the University of Leeds, England.
In 1973 he was selected as an English Speaking Union scholar for theatre study in
the U.S.A., receiving an M.F.A. in scene and costume design (University of Wisconsin-Madison)"
