Program Description
"The Vera Rubin Observatory, located in Chile, began operation in late 2024 and is the largest ground-based observatory on Earth. It aims to create a precise map of the structure of the universe and catalog millions of new comets, asteroids, and other objects in our solar system.
Dr. Watkins is Professor of Physics at Willamette University. His research interests include Astrophysics, Cosmology, and Particle Physics."
