Program Description
"Most people like solving puzzles of one form or another – from crosswords to cryptograms, adventure games to anagrams, among many others. Bill Wickes is an inveterate puzzle-solver and a 25-year veteran of Microsoft Puzzlehunt competitions. he will discuss different puzzles and why we love them. He will describe some of his favorite puzzles, and lead the audience in an interactive group-solve of an amusing Puzzlehunt puzzle or two.
Bill Wickes received a B.S. Physics from UCLA, an M.S. & Ph.D.in Physics from Princeton University. He taught at Princeton and the University of Maryland. He worked for Hewlett Packard in Research and Development and other divisions for 30 years. He is currently Treasurer for Chintimini Chamber Music amd A.L.L. Curriculum Committee chair in Corvallis."
